Copyright ownership, permitted use, and licensing terms for Clever Certificates template designs and images.
1Copyright Ownership
All certificate template designs, artwork, layouts, and the preview/thumbnail images of those templates displayed on clevercertificates.com (including images shown in search results, template galleries, and category pages) are the original work of, and copyrighted by, Clever Certificates, unless a template is explicitly marked as sourced under a separate license.
Browsing or viewing these images — including as thumbnails in Google Image Search — does not transfer any ownership, copyright, or reproduction rights to the viewer or to any third-party website.
2Example Licensed Images
The images below are examples of the copyrighted template designs this license covers — the same preview images that appear across clevercertificates.com and in Google Image Search. Each links to its live template page, where you can edit and download your own copy under the terms in Section 3.

3What Customers May Do
When you customise and download a certificate template through our editor, you may:
- Print, display, share, and distribute your finished, personalised certificate for personal, educational, novelty, celebratory, or organisational purposes.
- Issue your finished certificate to recipients (students, employees, members, award recipients, etc.) as a completed document.
- Use your finished certificate on your own website, in print, or on social media as a completed document representing an achievement, award, or event.
4What Is Not Permitted
Unless you have received our prior written permission, you (and any other party) may not:
- Copy, download, scrape, mirror, rehost, or redistribute our blank template designs, preview images, or watermarked thumbnail images on another website, app, marketplace, template store, print-on-demand listing, stock-image site, or social media account.
- Present, catalogue, or offer our template designs or images as your own work, or as available for license, sale, or download from a source other than clevercertificates.com.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the unmodified blank template file, source design assets, or any bulk/scraped collection of our template images.
- Remove, crop, or obscure copyright notices or watermarks for the purpose of misrepresenting the origin of a design.
- Use automated tools to bulk-download, crawl, or index our template or image library outside of normal search engine indexing.
5Licensable Images & Google Image Search
Some of our template images are marked as "Licensable" in Google Image Search. This means the image is protected by copyright and that this page is the designated source for the terms under which it may be used, in line with Google's image licensing metadata standard.
A "Licensable" label does not mean the image is free to use, copy, or republish. It means Clever Certificates is the identified rights holder, and this page states the terms above: viewing the image is permitted, but reproduction, redistribution, or republishing elsewhere is not, except as described in Section 7.
6Reporting Unauthorised Use
If you believe a third-party website, app, or marketplace is displaying, hosting, or redistributing our template designs or images without authorisation — including in a way that causes our images to appear in search results linking to that third party instead of clevercertificates.com — please report it to us.
Email privacy@clevercertificates.com with:
- The URL(s) where the unauthorised image(s) appear
- The corresponding template(s) on clevercertificates.com, where known
- Any other details that help us identify the infringing use
We review reports and, where appropriate, pursue removal directly with the site or its host, including via a formal copyright (DMCA or equivalent) takedown notice citing the ownership statement in Section 1.
7Requesting a Commercial License
If you'd like to license a Clever Certificates design or image for a use outside what's described above — for example, bulk/white-label use, inclusion in another product, or republishing a preview image — contact support@clevercertificates.com with details of the intended use. We review these on a case-by-case basis.
9Changes to This Page
We may update this page from time to time to reflect how our templates and images are used and protected. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
